Old school games. I'm talking about PS2/xbox and back. And lately, I have been throwing it down on a favorite game of mine, Splinter Cell: Chaos theory. Now, Chaos Theory comes nowhere close to the original Splinter Cell in terms of genre defining, but i think it's my favorite. There is something addicting about sneaking around in the dark coming up behind people and choosing to knock them out or follow closely behind just be cause you can. It is the Splinter Cell game refined to. It also is probably one of the hardest games I have ever played. I have been using a walkthrough lately to get the most out of the game and I have found a walkthrough a much more enjoyable way of playing the game. It really allows you to bring out the real Sam Fisher. Some might say that is cheating, or give me flack for not playing the game how its supposed to be played. But honestly I want to enjoy the game. It is so much more enjoyable if you know what you are doing as opposed to blindly walking around. With the newest Splinter Cell coming out, I am very excited to see how the story will unfold. Many have said it is a slap in the face to original Splinter Cell. While maybe having a legitimate point, I think this is where the franchise needs to go. Sam with no rules sounds like a game I want to play.
